We are a migrant company, that captures human journeys through theatre and film.

Actors walking on a theatre stage

Welcome to Smoko Media, a migrant-led theatre/audio-visual company that collects, shares, and documents human stories across Australia and New Zealand.

Our mission is to capture the stories that often go untold—the everyday experiences that form the foundation of our society—ensuring they aren’t lost to time. With a large portion of the population being migrants or descendants of migrants, it's crucial these voices are shared. We aim to amplify those stories through art.

Telling our stories matter
